Based in Port Huron, Jabar's Complements is an established spice blend company that was bought about 5 years ago by Michelle and Mark Wrubel. Wanting to do more with the ingredients they were making, they decided to turn it into a catering business as well. With a website and some work, today, Chef Shell's Catering is synonymous with Jabar's Compliments.
Jabar's is known for its famous Roadkill Roy's BBQ Sauce and Hot Sauce, great for fingerlickin' good 'Q in the summer and indoor grilling in the winter. Before you have your BBQ though, perhaps you can start your meal out with a dip, made from one of their many spice packs, and some bread or vegetables - even fruit. With a wide variety of specialty vinegars and sauces as well, you’re sure to make a meal that everyone will enjoy with a little help from Mark and Michelle.
The shop in Port Huron is a small, comfortable place where you can see Jabar's Complements whole selection as well as grab a gourmet sandwich made right there. This summer the duo is planning on setting up at craft shows and street fairs so keep a look out for them.
