Get a jumpstart on your holiday shopping at the BuyMichiganProducts.com Expo 2005, this upcoming Saturday, November 19 at the Lansing-South Holiday Inn & Convention Center. Look to Michigan when doing your holiday shopping this season – there are countless businesses in the state offering great gift ideas for everyone on your list. And what's more, you're helping the state's economy by keeping business at home.

Exhibitors from across the state will be selling and sampling products such as: children's items, gift items, soaps & skin products, fruit products, organic & health food, sweets & snack foods, golf products, and more. From the Traverse City area, there'll be By The Light of Day organic teas, Stonehedge Farm & Fiber Mill, Leelanau Trading Co., and Six Lugs/Natalie Robyn's Cherry Vinaigrette dressing. Food producers from the west side of Michigan include Robinette's Apple Haus & Gift Barn, The Blueberry Store, Creveling Family Farms & Fricano's Pizza, and Black Tie Gourmet Mushrooms. You can check out the handmade skin products from Backyard Soaps & More of Port Huron, and Herb Ease, Inc. from Livonia. Joan Wysocki of Herb Ease will be speaking about Herbs & Spices For the Holidays at out presentation area at 11:00 am. Spin-To-Win will have a wheel for visitors to spin and win prizes and coupons for local businesses. Other exhibitors include Buster Golf Devices of Prescott, DeYoung's Fore Seasons from Brighton, AMichiganThing.com of Grand Haven, Mickey & T's Spices and Rubs from Davisburg, Sharon's Details Gift Baskets of Brownstown, Hybrid Electric Records of Lincoln Park, and more.

Each hour we'll be giving away prizes from these great Michigan companies, and there'll be a special acoustic performance by Detroit-area musician Steve Swartz, of For Wishes and Au Revoir Borealis. Radio station WITL will be broadcasting from 1-3pm and giving away promotional items. There will also be a presentation about the upcoming Michigan Walk of Fame in Lansing, and how you can nominate people (living and deceased) for the first 12 spots to be revealed in May 2006.
