February 5th from 6pm-10pm
2287 Holbrook betweeen Lumpkin and Dubois

The Hamtramck Beautification Commission will host a special art exhibition fundraising party Saturday, February 5th from 6pm-10pm. Create Hamtramck 2005 will take place at 2287 Holbrook, a newly renovated storefront across from the landmark neon Kowalski Hot Dog sign. This is the perfect opportunity to support the vibrant art scene of metro-Detroit - and not to mention the most culturally diverse city in the state! While enjoying delicious food provided by the Traffic Jam and fine ales from Motor City Brewing Works, guests will be treated to live music performed by members of local bands: Bulldog, Wolfbait, Doctor's Prescription & other special guests! DJ's Joshua Dunn, Brad Hale and Anibal Gonzales will get the party started mixing vintage 45's of soul, blues and R&B.

Suggested donations of $5 will be taken at the door. The evening’s agenda includes free drinks, hors d'oeuvres, live music and an exhibition of original art including sculpture, painting, photography, performance, glasswork and film.
